The CEB Bioinformatics Resource Center (BRC) mission is to support researchers in analyzing sequence data by providing bioinformatics expertise and access to state-of-the-art computational resources. The BRC aims to serve as a bioinformatics hub for the UTK campus, where ideas can be shared and developed collaboratively.
Bioinformatics Applications
The BRC is located in room 736 of the Science & Engineering Research Facility (SERF) The bioinformatics lab has six cutting-edge desktop computers operating on a mix of Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms. All members of the UT community are welcome to use these computers following registration.
The general access computers have bioinformatics resources installed locally, including Geneious, DNASTAR Lasergene, and CLC Genomics Workbench with several powerful modules for specialized analyses.
This computing environment is constantly growing and evolving; users are encouraged to request and explore new software packages.
The BRC organizes and hosts a variety of bioinformatics workshops. View our list of Bioinformatics Events and Workshops.
